In order to add a new web page it is necessary to navigate to the section “Content – Pages – Sections” and click the “Add” button.
This will open a form to be completed. The settings to be entered are important both for SEO and good website design.
Note that there are 3 types of headings. Each heading plays its role.
1 — Name — This is a menu item text. It is meant to be accurate and concise description of a page’s content to be redirected when clicking.
Important! At first Name should be entered as it necessarily rewrites H1, alias and title.
If the “H1”, “Alias” and “Title” fields have been completed, the content of the “Name” field cannot be modified (in such a case, the contents of other fields will be lost).
2 – H1 heading tag — This is the first, most important and largest heading. If it is SEO text, it needs to be populated with the key phrase. If not, you may enter any text you like.
3 — Page title — This is a title of the browser window and in search results snippet. It should be most relevant to a search query.
Once the “Default title” field has been completed (Promotion-Search Engine Optimization-General), the title will be followed by the content of the “Default title” field. If you leave this field blank, the content of this field won’t be displayed anywhere on pages. If this field has been filled out, the content of the field will be displayed on all pages. It cannot be removed selectively.
Address – is alias that will appear in the browser’s address bar. It must include the key phrase.
Is can be a section or subsection. If the “Subsection” option has been selected, a parent section should be specified. If the “Section” option has been selected, a section should be associated with any menu type, or it should not be added to a menu.
Language – Once a website has been translated into several languages, you should select the one for which the given page is created.
Description is the description of a page. It must be readable and compelling for website’s visitors as well as be helpful for web crawlers. It should not be too short or vague. The text you should enter must contain the entire key phase (at least once). The length is usually two or three not very long sentences.
After saving you need to wait till redirecting to the page that contains the list of sections. The names of pages in the list correspond to those specified by you on the button.
To edit you need to click on the gear icon and select the “Edit” button. This will open the template form that is similar to that for creating a web page.
